About

I'm Holden. I lead engineering at Brite-Nites, where we build technology for live events.

I care about building tools that work well, writing clearly, and understanding how things fit together. I prefer simple systems over clever ones, and I think defaults are underrated.

This site is a living document — part portfolio, part notebook, part experiment. It's built to be honest rather than polished. I share projects that failed alongside ones that worked, and beliefs that changed alongside ones that held.

If you want to know what I'm doing right now, check /now. For what I believe and how those beliefs have evolved, there's /codex. My tools and recommendations live at /things.
